All journals in my store bear the title of the work and a copy of my original signature.
“The Passage" was inspired by a view from the dirt road that leads to The Monastery of Christ in the Desert in northern New Mexico. The painting and its title resulted from a surprise invitation to join the celebration for two monks who had taken their final vows. It was one of the rare times that the monks and the nuns interact with each other, as well as, with visitors. It was such an honor to be asked to join the festivities.
